The relocation of highway, gained the City of Providence, Rhode Island a tract of land in the city centre. This is a proposal to turn this area into a multi-use space, incorporating much needed leisure, art and recreational spaces. The reshaping of the space is a combination of function, aesthetics and historical interpretation.
Large Scale Regeneration
Greenhead Moss, Community Park

A large section on the moss had been an opencast mine, which had later become a landfill rubbish site. This is a project was finished in 2002, and forms part of a larger network of region regeneration. It incorporates conservation of the remaining moss, new planting on the landfill and the incorporation of a path network to preserve the moss and wildlife habitats.
Urban Strategy

Blackpool is a coastal resort town in the North West of England, in much need of a development strategy to improve its image. My proposal comes in three phases, which each phase building on the last. The town has also been allocated three strategies for different sections; conservation, needed improvement, and possible improvement.
